Sand Dabs

Mix together:

3/4 c softened butter
4 T powdered sugar
2 c sifted flour
2 T water (hot)
2 tsp vanilla
1 c chopped nuts

Cream butter and sugar. Add water and vanilla and then add flour and nuts. Form the dough into slightly bent “fingers” and bake in a slow oven (300-325) for 35-45 minutes until golden brown. Cool. Roll in powdered sugar when still slightly warm but not hot. Store in air-tight container.

Yum! I don’t know why I only make these at Christmas. Tradition, I suppose. I’m pretty sure they would taste great any time of the year!
