Looking for an assembly that engages your students? Trying to find a different way to teach the writing process? A&M Writing and Publishing can help you set up author visits that will make an impact at your school.
I write chapter book mysteries for middle-grade students. Centered around lighthouses in Michigan, North Carolina, and California, my three trilogies keep the same main characters, but introduce new people, places, and puzzles in each story.
The books are targeted for third graders to read on their own, but have also been very successful for reluctant readers in higher grades and as read-aloud opportunities for younger students.

P.S. The Society for Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) has a pretty good list of authors and illustrators available and interested in doing classroom visits. You can see my listing there at http://www.scbwi.org/speakers-bureau/
