My books are mysteries centered around lighthouses in (to date) Michigan and North Carolina. Both places have a trilogy of books (and puzzlebooks), but the main characters remain the same. The books are geared toward third graders to read on their own, but have also been very successful for challenged readers in higher grades and as read aloud opportunities for younger students.

Get more information or arrange a visit at my website. Or email me at ctillson@amwriting.com.

P.S. The Society for Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) has a pretty good list of authors and illustrators available and interested in doing classroom visits. Check it out at http://www.scbwi.org/speakers-bureau/

“Gratitude is the antidote to sadness. Not the sort of gratitude where you compare yourself favorably to others who have it worse but the kind of gratitude where you fully recognize the miracle of you being alive and sentient and capable of experiencing the wonders of life in this moment.”
