Sugar Cookies (aka Cut-Out Cookies)

Bake at 350° for 8-10 minutes

2 cups sifted flour
1 1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 cup oil
1 egg plus milk to equal 1/3 cup
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp almond

Combine dry ingredients and combine wet ingredients and then pour wet into dry. Roll into ball and chill. Roll out very thin—sprinkle extra flour—onto a floured board and cut with cookies cutters. Cover tightly to store. Can put an icing glaze on them, but will make them soft. Can also decorate before cooking with a paint brush and food coloring.
