Who Reads?

Reading is a topic we come back to time and again, so I’m happy to pass on these links that promote the importance of reading—for all of us.

“No book is really worth reading at the age of ten which is not equally – and often far more – worth reading at the age of fifty and beyond.”
C.S. Lewis

  • Wondering what to read with your kids? Need a book about a specific topic? For these lists and more, or just to connect with folks who know the value of books in the lives of children, check out Bookroo.com. (In fact, that’s where we found our quote!)
  • Bookroo.com is one of many supporters of Reach Out and Read, a national organization with the mission of integrating reading aloud into pediatric care. In partnership with the medical community, Reach Out and Read funds initiatives and research centered around the fact that—starting at birth—reading with children puts them on a path to success.
  • And, for a view from a different perspective, is it a coincidence that some of the most successful people in the world take time to read every day?

So, when the weather outside makes staying indoors an appealing choice, enjoy! And take time to read.
